Stop 1: LEWISTON, MAINE

"Of all of our inventions for mass communication, pictures still speak the most universally understood language." -Walt Disney

Trial run of my project in the Lewiston/Auburn community. Success. Here is a brief synopsis of the experience...

Good: Learning that Heidi's Brooklyn Deli was actually started in Denver, CO (my home town).
Bad: Getting asked to leave Best Buy because I don't have a permit to film inside stores.
Crazy: The Samoa Girl Scout cookie is made by a different company now and is being renamed "Caramel Delight"...disappointment.
Lame: Talking to myself in the car to film the driving segments...awkward.
Quote: I chose Walt Disney's quote because it's easy to get caught up in the world of social media and technology. I hope we don't forget the value of experiencing other people and conversing face to face. Each picture is worth 1,000 words, so hopefully these videos are worth more...

Still curious? Good:
